Walk the sandy beaches of Port Clinton's coastline, shop in the historic downtown area, or take a short ferry ride to Put-in-Bay, where you'll find many sights to enjoy. If you prefer the outdoors, Lake Erie provides opportunities for all kinds of water recreation and fishing; Port Clinton is known as the "Walleye Capital of the World" and you can expect to catch a lot of fish here. There are several local marinas, boat ramps, and docks to take advantage of. Shade Acres Campground even provides an excellent fish cleaning station and a freezer for your fish. Or if you prefer to enjoy boating or swimming, there are places to rent equipment and enjoy the beautiful waters of the lake.
