| Facilities are all as nice as the pool/spa area. Rio's climate controlled buildings are tops in Brownsville for your personal comfort including piped in music. Tropical setting with palms and bananas can make you feel like you're in Hawaii. Most sites have their own tree plus a patio to get the most out of this country setting. Valentines Dinner & Dance

Having fun and making friends are top of the priorities at Rio. The Valentines Party and Dance (picture left) is typical of all functions. You will have a scrumptious meal, your personal Valentines Photo (inset), and dance the evening away. Theme and seasonal parties only start the activities. Lots of professional entertainers, shuffleboard, cards, pool, exercise, golf, yoga, Spanish classes, computer sessions, potluck, crafts, bingo, mixers, and others listed in Activities. |

Boca Chica Beach is a pristine beach with no development or facilities while South Padre Island offers all the frills with eateries and shops. The beaches are beautiful experiences for those not living near a beach and a low cost place to enjoy nature and friends any day. Fishing, shell hunting, a sunrise or sunset, and just the roll of the surf can be enjoyed anytime.
