| Newberry National Volcanic Monument - The Newberry National Volcanic Monument provides a unique opportunity to view the Lava Lands of Central Oregon. The park consists of over 50,000 acres of lakes, lava flows, and amazing geological features. The Newberry Crater is all that remains of a mountain that once towered above the plateau region. Other spectacular sights within Newberry National Volcanic Monument include Paulina Peak at nearly 8,000 feet elevation, views of the Oregon Cascades, and several sparkling alpine lakes full of trout and salmon. Recreation includes scenic driving, hiking, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, and various winter activities. The Newberry National Volcanic Monument is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family and enjoy the great outdoors. Newberry RV Park is just a short drive from the recreation area. |

| High Desert Museum - The High Desert Museum is a nationally acclaimed museum exploring the High Desert's wildlife, culture, art, and resources. The High Desert Museum shows visitors the important connections between people and their environment with intriguing exhibits and displays. Indoor and outdoor exhibits include a walk through an 1885 settlement town, historic Northwest churches, a desertarium, and live animals including river otters, porcupines, sheep, mustangs, and more. Take the whole family on an enchanting nature walk, visit the Rimrock Café for refreshments, or stop by the Silver Stage Trading Store. The best way to see the High Desert Museum is to design your own tour. There are many benches and wildlife viewing areas, as well as picnic tables, special accommodations, and a special education center. Newberry RV Park is within a short drive from the museum. |

| Quail Run Golf Course - Nestled in the scenic countryside of Central Oregon, Quail Run Golf Course welcomes golfers of all levels. The course was awarded "second best nine-hole golf course" in North America in 2001, and is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program. Quail Run Golf Course features tree-lined fairways and greens that were built to USGA specifications. The course offers great views of Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding countryside, club rentals, a snack bar, and restaurant. Quail Run Golf Course also features a putting green, chipping area, a practice bunker, and lessons. The course is located in La Pine, just minutes from Newberry RV Park. |

Maragas Winery - The Maragas Winery comes from a long line of wine makers with Anna Maragas opening the first wine business in America in 1941. The tradition is carried on by Anna's grandson, Doug Maragas. The winery produces a full bodied zinfandel, Pinot Riche, and a dessert wine, Kool Muscat. The bottles are uniquely designed with beatnik art from 1959. The tasting room is open every day except Mondays. The holidays bring extended hours. During the fall, Maragas Winery hosts several festivals and special events. Maragas Winery is located in Bend, Oregon, just a short drive from Newberry RV Park.
