| Additionally, there are festivals all around the area. The Bavarian Manor has a German Festival in July, The Irish Center in East Durham sponsors events all summer as do Hunter & Windham Mountain. |

Whip O Will Campsites features activities to please everyone's interests. There is a catch and release fishing lake, boat rentals (row & paddleboats), and acres of woods for long walks and wildlife viewing. A swimming pool and kiddie pool are available for lounging poolside or jumping in on those warm days. There are plenty of games as well; including basketball, horseshoes, and classic bocce ball. A playground and miniature golf round out some of the choices available as you relax at camp. |
| Whip-O-Will has two rec halls. The main rec hall offers video games, pool tables, a lending library and a snack bar for cold drinks, candy & ice cream as well as an assortment of ready prepared foods. The Adult rec hall hosts various camp ground activities such as The 4th of July Parade, Christmas in July, Kid's Day, the annual BBQ and Halloween. |

Throughout the camping season Whip-O-Will offers campwide events like a Bocci Tournament, Basketball Shoot-Out for all ages, a Fourth of July Parade, Diving for Dollars, and Kids Day to mention just a few of the events at the campground. |
