You'll see over 35 major works of art by Michigan artists; each one offers distinctive insight into Michigan's natural history, forestry, literary genius, and military history. The Michigan Legacy Art Park is an exclusive experience, taking you through past and present, paying homage to Michigan's history. The Michigan Legacy Art Park is open year-round. Clinch Park Zoo
Clinch Park Zoo - Situated on 3.5 acres on the banks of the sparkling Grand Traverse Bay in downtown Traverse, Michigan, the Clinch Park Zoo features northern Michigan wildlife. Among the many exhibits, you'll see native animals, many of whom have been rescued, in their natural environments. Observe and learn about black bears, beavers, bobcats, Canadian lynx, otters, and bison to name a few. There's an education room providing special opportunities to explore the world of animals. Kids will enjoy the animals and riding the miniature steam train around the park. The zoo is open spring, summer, and fall. The Clinch Park Zoo is surrounded by the Clinch Park Marina and Beach and the Con Foster Museum in a picturesque setting in the heartland of one of the Midwest's finest resort towns. The Clinch Park Zoo is just a few minute's drive from Timber Ridge Resort.
Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery - Situated on 80 acres with breathtaking views of the East Bay, Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery began as a small boutique winery with the planting of 24 acres of European vinifera grapes in 2001. Today, the vineyard consists of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Using the highest quality standards, Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery handpicks the grapes for handcrafted wines. Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery is the only winery in the area currently meeting the highest standard of 100% Old Mission Appellation. Visitors will delight in winding past the 1890's renovated farmhouse, historic barn, pump house turned playhouse, and gardens and vineyards as they make their way to the state-of-the-art winery. Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum
Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum - The Grand Traverse Lighthouse marks the end of the Leelanau Peninsula and has guided ships in the Manitou Passage of Lake Michigan for nearly 150 years making it one of the oldest on the Great Lakes. Today, guests can tour the restored lighthouse resembling a keeper's home of the 1920's and 30's. Exhibits on area lighthouses, foghorns, shipwrecks and local history are located throughout the Lighthouse and Fog Signal Building. The restored air diaphone foghorn is demonstrated throughout the year, and visitors can climb the tower for a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. Be sure to visit the gift shop of the Grand Traverse Lighthouse for a unique souvenir or original art piece. The Grand Traverse Lighthouse is 9 miles north of Northport, inside the Leelanau State Park, just over 20 miles from Timber Ridge Resort.
