Downtown Howell - Historic Downtown Howell has been named a National Historic District. The charming streets hold a treasure trove of 19th century architecture, a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs, and even a classic tea room to welcome visitors. The beautiful historical buildings have been lovingly restored to their original beauty, making Downtown Howell a real treat to lovers of architect and days gone by. Brighton Recreation Area
Brighton Recreation Area - Encompassing nearly 5,000 acres of woodlands, fields, lakes, and shrub marshes, the Brighton Recreation Area provides endless outdoor recreation for residents and visitors alike. The area has a combination of hills, oak forests, and open spaces where visitors can enjoy picnicking, 18 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, and water recreation including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming on Bishop Lake. Brighton Recreation Area also offers interpretive programs, a children's playground, and metal detecting areas. Brighton Recreation Area offers trail rides, pony rides, and lessons on weekdays and weekends by appointment.
Hunters Ridge Golf Course - Hunters Ridge Golf Course is Howell's newest public golf course with 18 holes among natural settings. Frequent players have claimed that Hunters Ridge Golf Course is one of the best courses to play in Lower Michigan. The course was designed by Jerry Matthews and features 68 bunkers, 6 ponds, and heather rough, and is suitable for all skill levels. After a round of golf, relax with a delicious lunch at the log clubhouse. Hunters Ridge Golf Course also offers a Pro Shop, club rentals, and a practice and putting green. local3

Historic Parshallville Grist Mill
Historic Parshallville Grist Mill - Parshallville is a small picturesque community on the banks of the North Ore Creek and is home to Tom Walker's Grist Mill, which is also commonly known as the Historic Parshallville Grist Mill, or the Parshallville Cider Mill. The Historic Parshallville Grist Mill is 136 years old and is one of the few remaining water-powered mills in Michigan. Visitors are welcome to take a tour and enjoy a nature walk by the creek, view the donuts being made, and watch the cider being pressed. Visit the Gift Shoppe for caramel apples, homemade apple pies, and an assortment of gifts to commemorate your visit to the Historic Parshallville Grist Mill.
