Little Sauble Point Lighthouse
The tall conical light was constructed in 1874 to mark a sandy headland on this lightly populated stretch of Lake Michigan's coast. Little Sauble remains virtually unchanged. Its materials were transported to the site by water. Built of red brick, which was originally whitewashed, the 107 foot tower retains its original third-order lens and the light is still in service. Little Sauble Point is now open for tours.
