Endless Enjoyable Campground Activities

Small Country Campground is a complete campground with its own 25-acre Lake Ruth Ann featuring excellent fishing, boating and swimming. A giant lake trampoline, a big Rock-It ball, and a diving platform in deeper water is for serious swimmers. Kiddies have their own trampolines. Guests can also enjoy hours of sun at the edge of the beautiful swimming pool. Our giant bouncing pillow is a great success for kids and adults alike. activities1
Excellent fishing and boating.
Enjoy our new 18-hole Putting Golf Course or the numerous outdoor games like horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, kids games, and more. Enjoy a hayride Saturday evenings, jump on our fire truck, hike our trails, and relax at the pool. There is a playground as well...and a giant bouncing pillow. Nature abounds at this central Virginia campground. Laurel, wild flowers, and mushrooms cover the forest of hardwood trees and evergreens on the 150-acre campground. Wild geese, ducks, turkeys, deer, squirrels, and rabbits are among the wildlife that adds to the excitement of this outdoor wonderland. Small Country Campground also offers special activities for kids, holiday celebrations throughout the camping season, and more. Kids can enjoy face painting, balloon toss, and scavenger hunts. Holidays celebrated throughout the summer include Christmas in July, Mardi Gras, the 4th of July among many others. All close to your RV or campsite.

When it's time to get out and about in the surrounding area, Small Country Campground is just minutes from intriguing attractions and activities. Civil War & history buffs will find numerous battlefields, historic sites, and revered tourist sites to explore nearby. Be sure to make time for the reenactment of the largest cavalry battle of the Civil War...the Battle of Trevilian Station, June 20-22.Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Madison's Montpelier, and Michie Tavern. Charlottesville and Richmond are just a short drive away and also offer much for the visitor.
