Two deserts, two large ecosystems whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation, come together at Joshua Tree National Park. Below 3,000 feet, the Colorado Desert encompasses the eastern part of the park and features natural gardens of creosote bush, ocotillo, and cholla cactus. The higher, moister, and slightly cooler Mojave Desert is the special habitat of the Joshua tree. |

Take the Palm Springs Aerial Tram for some fantastic views and a mountain top full of fun things to do! You will ascend 2.5 miles to pristine wilderness aboard the World's largest Rotating Tramcars. There is a Ride 'n' Dine combination ticket that includes the round trip Tram ride and dinner at the Top of the Tram Restaurant. On weekends and holidays you can rent cross country skiing and snowshoeing equipment. You will find guided nature walks and family snow fun for all ages. |
