| One of the modern attractions of Victoria is the Victoria Mall. It is a modern facility that hosts over 50 major retail stores and restaurants. The mall is located at one of the fastest growing retail corridors in the region -- Hwy 77 and Loop 463. Another attraction to the Victoria area is its urban park that is nestled along the Guadalupe River called Riverside Park. Riverside Park consists of 562 acres offering a recreational, educational and peaceful setting for everyone. Enjoy a hike along the river hike/bike trail, feed the ducks, or stroll through the rose garden. Visit the Texas Zoo, also known as the Texas Animal Kingdom, which affords visitors to see over 150 animals native to the state.

| For a city of population of 60,000 Victoria has three of the finest golf courses available. One of the favorites is the Riverside Golf Course that has been ranked in 2004 as a three star winner by Golf Digest Magazine. It is a public facility offering 27 park-style golf that is playable for all levels of golfers at an affordable price. Colony Creek, a semi-private facility, and Victoria Country Club completes the search for excellent golf courses in South Texas. |

Victoria College is an open door institution that offers both technical and vocational programs and academic courses applicable to baccalaurete programs. University of Houston - Victoria is an upper-level and graduate institution with selected Bachelors and Master's degree programs. With the combination of schools, Victoria is able to offer high quality educational and cultural programs for the area. |
