CRAWFORD, TX is only a ten minute scenic drive from our park. Pick up a map from our office for a driving tour and be sure and stop in at the Coffee Station for a meal or snack. Who knows, if the President is in town you might be able to have lunch with him as did one of our guest on a past New Years Eve when he dropped in for his favorite cheeseburger. local1

Texas Rangers Museum and Hall of Fame
For an outdoor adventure start with a walk across THE WACO SUSPENSION BRIDGE built in 1870 and used by cowboys driving cattle across the Brazos on the Chisholm Trail and with it is INDIAN SPRING PARK believed to be the site of the HUACO INDIAN VILLAGE. Take a scenic drive by LAKE BRAZOS into one of the largest city parks in Texas ~ CAMERON PARK 416 acres, the location of mountain bike racing fun for the family and horseback riding and visit the CAMERON PARK ZOO on 51 acres. Then go around the block and see the beautiful five acre gardens at EARLE-HARRISON HOUSE AND GARDENS. From the North end of Cameron Park it is a short drive to THE WACO WATER PARK and then on to beautiful LAKE WACO, one of the largest urban lakes in the area. local3
The Suspension Bridge across Lake Brazos
Outside Waco, but still close by, youll fine more interesting places to visit. Clifton , TX, THE NORWEGION CAPITOL OF TEXAS. Bosque County is full of interesting points of interest. R ailroad & Heritage Museum, Temple, TX. And, the famous CZECH "W EST FEST" is held each year in nearby West, TX.
