Welcome to Muscatatuck Park!
|
| When staying at Muscatatuck Park, guests can enjoy more amenities and activities than usually found at an RV park. There is a wide variety of outdoor recreation. The park is Indiana's best climbing area and is top-notch for bouldering. There is also an extensive 7+ mile trail system for mountain biking, hiking, and backpacking. Bird watching and wildlife viewing are also popular activities so bring the binoculars and camera! The Muscatatuck River flows throughout the park, providing opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating; there is no boat launch, but canoes, kayaks, and tubes are easily carried to the river. Other activities in the park include skateboarding, rappelling, and snow sledding (in season). |
| The campground area itself offers a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, soccer fields, and plenty of mowed open space for even more outdoor games like frisbee and football. Guests can also enjoy horseshoe pits and playgrounds. There is no swimming pool, but the city park provides one and it is just two miles up the road. Also up the road in either direction are Indianapolis and Frankfort, as well as other quaint towns in Jackson County, where visitors will find leisurely shopping, satisfying restaurants, and enticing attractions like wineries, historic sites, covered bridges, festival and events, and much more! |
