Lake Lansing Band Shell
Since late 1998, the Friends of Ingham County Parks, a committed group of citizens worked tirelessly to build a Band Shell at Lake Lansing Park-South. Project Chair, Ed Gillespie noted "this is a mechanism to bring families together in a great wholesome environment." The facility has been completed and it is beautiful, from the Wall of Memories, dedicated sidewalk squares and bricks honoring and remembering those we cherish. The facility can accommodate an orchestra of 100 musicians, boasts a wonderful dressing room and is accessible to all.

Impression 5 Science Center
The mission of Impression 5 Science Center is to facilitate learners of all ages in exploring, understanding, and appreciating the wonders of the physical world.

Impression 5 Science Center was founded in 1972 by Marilynne Eichinger who also served as the first Executive Director until 1985. It moved into the current location on Museum Drive in downtown Lansing in 1982, and is considered by the community to be one our most important cultural and educational resources.

In 1994 the name of the museum was changed to Impression 5 Science Center. "The Impression 5" still refers to the five senses, which are all engaged in the experience of visiting I-5.
