| Pinnacles National Monument - Emerging out of the Gabilan Mountains are the fascinating remains of an ancient volcano. Humongous monoliths, spires, canyons, and passages are all results of millions of years of erosion. The monument's boundaries embrace 24,000 acres of wildlands and a wide variety of spring wildflowers. The monument is divided into East and West districts connected by 30 miles of trails meandering through unique geological formations, sweeping vistas, and diverse landscapes. Abundant wildlife includes condors, bobcats, bats, and various species of butterflies, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and more. Activities include bird watching, caving, climbing, hiking, interpretive programs, and wildlife viewing. |

| Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - Located on a mile-long beach between Monterey and San Francisco, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk offers visitors a unique combination of an amusement park and a State Historic Landmark. The boardwalk is home to the 1911 Looff Carousel and the 1924 Giant Dipper roller coaster. Enjoy more than 35 rides and attractions, inclduing modern thrill rides, indoor arcades, miniature golf, and dozens of restaurants & shops. The boardwalk is admission-free, meaning no gates to block your way, so you can come and just look around and visit the beach. Rides offer a range of ticket plans.
