| Birders and Butterfly Enthusiasts from all over the world come to our park because we are within minutes of the headquarters for The World Birding Center and the North American Butterfly Association. Visit one of the nine designated sites that protect wildlife habitats throughout the Rio Grande Valley, including the 85-acre NABA Butterfly Park and The Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, where the intensive outdoor gardens of native nectar plants, natural habitat and specific caterpillar host plants attract vast numbers of wild, rare and native butterflies. is a short drive from our park. On South Padre Island, you can have an unforgettable day of relaxation by lounging on the beautiful white sandy beaches or by sipping a coctail while the sun sets. If you like to fish, then charter a boat for the day and try your hand at deep sea fishing.
