Black Hills Caverns
Black Hills Caverns - Step back into prehistoric times and discover how the caverns were formed at Black Hills Caverns. It takes many thousands of years for the underground rooms to form, but it will only take visitors one hour to tour all the three levels of the cave, covering 3/4 mile. The caverns host a fantastic variety of formations, including stalagmites, rare forest crystal, columns, draperies, and popcorn crystal, among others. Visitors can also participate in gemstone mining at the caverns. The caverns are open daily.
The Journey Museum
The Journey Museum - The Journey Museum tells the story of the Western Great Plains by bringing together four major prehistoric and historic collections. These include the museum of geology, the archaeological center, the Sioux Indian museum, the Minnilusa Pioneer museum, and the Duhamel collection. Scheduled tours are offered or visitors may wander on their own trek through time.
