The Formosa Wetlands Walkway and Lighthouse Beach feature sweeping vistas of the bay and prime opportunities to glimpse gulls, pelicans, and any of the 400 species of birds nearby. The Port Lavaca Fishing Pier is a great venue for some relaxing afternoon fishing and is next to the Lighthouse Beach & Bird Sanctuary.
