| Connect with nature via a trip in one of our canoes, or pontoons rentals on our 350 acre Half Moon Lake. We also have boat trips going to the 'Silver River" A 3 hour tour of real mother nature. you will see alligators,turtles,monkeys and birds,birds,birds Come see where all the original "Tarzan" movies were created and filmed. Other activites we ALSO do in the park: kids golf lessons, swimming, nature hikes, volleyball court, basketball, pool table,arcade machines playground, design your own camping t-shirt, glass etching, glass fusing of custom jewelry, pour and make your own ceramics, glass blowing, scavenger hunts,melting wine bottles into cheese trays or trivets, bird walks, canoe trips,glass night lights, fishing tournament, girls pajama evening, entertainment most Saturday evenings, jewelry making, clock making, quilt making, sewing projects, etc., etc., Deb Olson is also a homeschool mother and is always looking for educationsl programs and crafts to present to her visiting families!!! |
Half Moon Lake hosts large bass, croppies, blue gills, catfish and gar, plus many others. Our camp store carries bait, fishing poles and gear for the basic to advanced fisherman. there are also dozens of other lakes to try within minutes of the park. Hey a 12.4 lb bass was caught and released on March 31st here and one short of 14lbs caught the end of May.It was caught on one of the shiners we sell here.
Take a leisurely walk through the oak and palm trees while watching the wildlife scurry by or array of birds at the bird watching areas. You could also bring your clubs and shoot a little golf during your walk. You can also go biking, talk to the store about numerous paths within minutes of the park! Deb Olson is a home school mother and she is always looking for educational ideas for the families who come. |
