Our area is known for its outstanding festivals, beginning in January with the Western Folklife Center's annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. We also celebrate the Snowmobile Rendezvous, the ATV Jamboree, the Elko Motorcycle Jamboree, and the Elko Mining Expo. You can take in the annual Jeep Jamboree for off-road driving, tour the Basque Festival, or watch the amazing Silver State Stampede. In August our town hosts the Elko County Fair, followed in September by the colorful Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival.
