Bear Lake County Highlands - Established in 1964, the Bear Lake County Highlands offers a challenging but fair golf course that golfers of all levels will enjoy. Located among dense forests, flowing rivers, and spectacular scenery, the course features rolling terrain, water on seven holes, and great views of Bear Lake and the surrounding countryside. Whether you come out to play once a week or once a year, you'll be glad you golf at all when you arrive at Bear Lake County Highlands; the is one of the best conditioned and scenic courses in northwest Michigan, providing challenging but fair enjoyment for all players. Golfing accessories are available at the Bear Trap Pro Shop. Bear Lake County Highlands is located on US-31 in Bear Lake in Manistee County just 20 minutes north of Manistee - just 10 minutes from the casino - and 40 minutes south of Traverse City. |

Little River Casino - Good times will be rolling at Little River Casino, located in the heart of Michigan's four seasons wonderland. The casino is a new spacious 44,000 square foot casino featuring 1,100 slot machines, 30 table games and a 6-table poker room. Shrine of the Pines

Shrine of the Pines - A world famous tourist attraction, the Shrine of the Pines boasts the largest collection of rustic pine furniture displayed in a Northwood hunting lodge and is situated in an isolated wooded area on the banks of the Pere Marquette River. You'll have opportunities to see unique pine furniture including a table made from a 700 lb. stump, a rocking chair of roots that rocks 55 times with a single nudge, and a fireplace made of 70 tons of native stone. Stretch your legs and walk the paths to observe deer, turkey, and squirrels in their habitat. Visit the Shrine of the Pines' craft shop before you leave for a special souvenir. Shrine of the Pines is open everyday May 15th-Oct 15th, located in Baldwin, MI, about 30 miles south of Heart of the Forest RV Park. |

Huron-Manistee National Forests

Huron-Manistee National Forests - The Huron-Manistee National Forests consist of nearly one million acres of trails, trees, and tremendous beauty extending across the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. It is one of three National Forests in the state. Visitors can play in thousands of lakes and on miles of rivers, including the Big and Little Manistee Rivers and the Pine River. These offer world-class canoeing and fishing. A wide variety of experience awaits visitors, with opportunities for hiking, biking, hunting, mushrooming, snowmobiling, skiing, and ATVing. The Huron-Manistee National Forests are also a habitat for fish and wildlife, so visitors can enjoy nature study and wildlife viewing. Heart of the Forest RV Park is located in the middle of the Huron-Manistee National Forests, so all of the outdoor adventure is just steps away.
