Morrow Point Boat Tours
Morrow Point Boat Tours - A chance to further explore the Curecanti National Recreation Area, the Morrow Point Boat Tour is a 1.5 hour boat trip through the upper Black Canyon. You'll ride with nearly 40 other passengers on a pontoon boat as a National Park Ranger tells the story behind the scenery and special points on interest. The tour begins after a 1.5 fairly easy hike along the Pine Creek trail. Plan for a half-day outing and picnic tables are provided on the trail, so bring a picnic lunch. Reservations are required. Tours are available from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Gunnison Arts Center
Gunnison Arts Center - The Gunnison Arts Center offers exhibits and programs in the visual, literary & performing arts year-round. The center offers two exhibition galleries, a gallery shop, a theatre, and clay center. There's always something going on, so drop in and see the weekly film, a summer concert, or tour the galleries and view local Gunnison artists' work. It's a friendly community center providing residents and visitors an experience they won't soon forget.
Teller Street Miniature Golf
Teller Street Miniature Golf - Practice your putting with 18 challenging, yet fun holes at Teller Street Miniature Golf. All ages will enjoy the fun atmosphere. Enjoy some refreshments at the concessions stand; ice cream, candy, snacks, and cold drinks are available. The course is open daily 9 am to 10 pm.
Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum
Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum - The Heritage Museum features exhibits of mining, ranching, skiing, and biking. Occupying an historic structure that has served as the first blacksmith, gas station, and hardware store in Crested Butte, the museum features black and white portraits by Sandra Cortner (1950-60's), a functioning model railroad, a life size mining diorama, local geology, the history of skiing and a special children's exhibit. The museum is also home to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, displaying classic bikes, photographs, and other vintage memorabilia.
