There is always something fun to do around the campground, when you are not hiking the forest trails or hanging out at the lake. Our campground has a horseshoe pit which has become quite popular with our guests. In addition, the forest provides various sights and sounds that hikers find intriguing and peaceful. You can even take your mountain bike down the trails. No matter how you prefer to travel, the wildlife around this area is something you don't want to miss. Just remember to bring a camera so that you can cherish these moments forever. |

Lake Almanor is by far the most popular attraction near our park. The 52-square miles of water provide for some of the best fishing, boating, swimming and skiing around. From sail boats to jet skis, you will find every type of watercraft on the lake. Fishermen will enjoy the challenge of catching King Salmon, rainbow and brown trout, smallmouth bass and catfish. And boaters will love the glass-like water in the morning which is perfect for skiing and wakeboarding. So bring your favorite toy and experience the fun and beauty of Lake Almanor. |
