Welcome to Dory Hill Campground near Central City and Black Hawk,Colorado Dory Hill Campground offers RV & Tent camping as well as Camping Cabins. Come visit this week. Just a short drive from Denver. Save on time and gas. Avoid traffic delays on I-70. A quiet setting, yet close to many activities. Please do not confuse Dory Hill Campground and Central City West KOA. Dory Hill Campground (once known as Central City KOA) is a natural setting among trees and wildflowers just off Hwy. 119 N. of Black Hawk (5 miles).

A great Colorado camping experience! We have RV and tent camping as well as camping cabins. A true mountain gem just west of Denver.
A great base camp to visit Denver's many attractions,ride the historic Georgetown Loop railroad or drive scenic Peak to Peak highway to Rocky Mountain National Park or drive up Mount Evans. Dory Hill is also a great place to relax and enjoy our cool mountain temperature and clean, fresh air. Enjoy the many recreational activities nearby. Visit mid-week to avoid the crowds and get the best choice of sites.

| Dory Hill Campground is a small mountain campground and is at the elevation of 9,230 feet. We are approximately 30 miles west of the Denver Metro area. Our area is rich in history, scenery and outdoor recreation. This is a quiet area with little traffic and no train tracks. Most days are sunny with a bright blue sky. Evenings are cool with clear starlit skies. We suggest you bring a jacket and long pants for comfort around the campfire.
Dory Hill Campground's natural setting is located within Aspen, Spruce and Pine trees. We have wildflowers and grass throughout the campground. Wildlife in the campground is limited to chipmunks and rabbits. There are coyotes, bears, mountain lions, elk and deer nearby. |

Dory Hill Campground is located in the heart of Gilpin County. The county baseball and soccer fields are adjacent the campground. The County fair grounds, horse arena and community center are all located across the highway. The Casino towns, Black Hawk and Central City are just 5 miles away. In addition to gambling, they offer museums tours and events throughout the summer. |
