Crooked Creek Resort also offers some of the best fishing and excellent fly fishing at nearby lakes and streams. The area is also a hunter's dream with over one million acres of public land with great road access throughout the Black Hills; an abundance of Merriam Turkey, Whitetail Mule Deer, and Elk are right out your back door! Crooked Creek Resort is located just south of Hill City, in the heart of the Black Hills. During your Mt. Rushmore camping experience, you can enjoy a charming downtown with opportunities for shopping and dining. Pack a lunch and enjoy a full day on tour at Custer State Park, where deer, antelope, and Bison roam free. Mt. Rushmore is just minutes from the resort, offering a fabulous lighting ceremony performed each evening. Bikers will delight in the close proximity of the Sturgis Bike Rally held every year. Other points of interest include the Crazy Horse Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and the original Deadwood! There are also 11 exceptional golf courses located throughout the Black Hills area. There is so much to do and see you might want to plan a few extra days to spend camping at Mt. Rushmore.
