Local Interests
|
Corpus Christi is one of Texas' most popular seacoast playgrounds. The
blending of Shoreline Boulevard, the popular "T" head docks, beach
and the magnificent skyline is breathtaking from all angles. Whether
you are fishing from numerous piers, jetties, miles of beach
and seawall or aboard a local commercial boat, you will catch trout,
redfish, flounder and drum. Deep sea adventures will seek marlin,
tarpon, sailfish, wahoo, amberjack and red snapper.

The USS Lexington Museum on the Bay
The area's leading attraction is the U.S.S.
Lexington, and with good reason. The "Lady Lex",
as it's affectionately referred to, was
commissioned in 1943 and served longer, and set
more records, than any other carrier in U.S.
history. Carrier tours include the hangar deck,
officer's quarters, Flight Deck Bridge, a fully-
restored F-14 fighter jet and a Huey Cobra
helicopter. |
