| The town of Three Rivers is well known for it's fantastic hunting and fishing. Choke Canyon Lake is located approximately 4.5 miles west of Three Rivers and covers about 26,000 acres. The Lake is known for largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, blue catfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, bluegill sunfish, redear sunfish, and alligator gar. Three Rivers has an abundance of whitetail deer, wild hogs, doves, and quail. There are hunting and fishing guides in the area that are experienced and can lead you on an exciting adventure!

| If you visit during the Spring, you will be treated to a beautiful display of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, and many other vibrant wildflowers. In April, Three Rivers has the Annual Salsa Festival featuring a fantastic line-up of Southern Texas entertainers and a gathering of local salsa chefs. The festival includes live entertainment and games for the kids. George West is located 10 miles south of Three Rivers and has activities for the whole family. This small town hosts the Live Oak County Fair and Rodeo. The fair is held on the third weekend in march and begins with a beauty pageant and culminating with a rodeo, parade, youth livestock show, carnival and a cabrito cook-off. |
