We have boating and crabbing, swimming and mini golf, plus shopping, bird watching, and special events!

For recreational fishing regulations and licensing information visit the
Virgina Marine Resources Commission.

From boating and crabbing to antique shopping and touring historic sites, the Northern Neck region of Virginia has plenty to offer! When you stay with us at Chesapeake Bay Camp-Resort in Reedville, VA, you'll have access to our swimming pool, mini golf area, excellent bird watching territory, and -- best of all -- our cruises to Smith Island. Take in the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay as you view historic Smith Point, the Smith Point Lighthouse two miles offshore, and the shipping channel the runs past Baltimore and Washington, DC. activities1
Enjoy Boating and Fishing
Enjoy a Cruise
Climb aboard our Smith Island cruise and enjoy a relaxing one and one half hour cruise across the storied Chesapeake Bay, 13.5 miles out passing the 5,000 acre Glen L. Martin Waterfowl/wildlife refuge as you enter the Smith Island waterways. Egrets, Blue Herons, Ospreys, and Roseate Spoonbills are among the Refuge's numerous waterfowl. Great vistas of the Refuge may be observed from the decks of our ship, the Captain Evans.
We'll dock at Ewell Village for delicious seafood and other homemade delicacies at one of the island's waterfront restaurants, or you may bring your own picnic lunch. Enjoy a guided tour, visit Smith Island Center, the museum on Ewell, or visit the Island's gift shops. Stroll quaint, narrow, shaded "streets" and enjoy a glimpse of the charming lifestyles and culture of the watermen who live there. activities3
Hitch a ride
Bring the Family for a Game of Golf
You can make Chesapeake Bay Camp-Resort into your base camp while you head out on day trips to tour the Fredericksburg Battlefield or to watch for bald eagles and other birds at Caledon State Park, a great place for hiking and picnicking. Spend an afternoon exploring the antique shops and museums of seaside Colonial Beach, a charming town on the Potomac River. And right in our own town of Reedville, you'll find the Reedville Fishermen's Museum and its three historic ships.
