The Cave Without A Name . . . The Deepest, Darkest Secret in Texas!

| Located in the stunning Texas Hill Country and less than 12 miles from Boerne, Texas, The Cave Without A Name lies beneath scenic, rolling hills. The cave received its name through a contest held to name the cave before it opened to the public in 1939. The winning entry from a local student exclaimed that the cave was "too pretty to have a name!" So the cave remains nameless. |

| The Cave Without A Name is a natural, living cavern featuring stunning formations of stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, cave drapery, and flowstones, just to name a few. It takes hundreds of years for the formations to grow one cubic inch, but it only takes visitors about an hour to tour the six major rooms of the cave. In this brief time you will experience a world many people never get to see, a world you won't soon forget. |
| The diversity of the luminous formations will dazzle the eyes and ignite your imagination; just how old could the incredible formations be? Which formations look like animals and other shapes? The Cave Without A Name is said to hold the best "cave bacon" in Texas, the largest measuring 22 feet in length. The cave also features formations called "the grapes" which is the only known formations of its kind in Texas. |
