Fishing is the main activity at Catfish Creek Fishing Camp. Lake Ontario is only 300 yards from the dock. Docking facilities, cleaning station, and boat ramps are included, as is dry dock parking for repeat customers, so you can enjoy Lake Ontario fishing with great convenience. Catfish Creek Fishing Camp offers easy access to Lake Ontario where some of the best brown trout, salmon and steelhead fishing can be found, plus access to the Oswego River and the Salmon River. Catfish Creek Fishing Camp offers the opportunity to fish for not widely known species such as walleye and small mouth bass. The Walleye fishing is just coming into its own, but the small mouth bass fishing here is second to none with fish over 6 pounds not uncommon.
The Mexico Bay area starts with great brown trout fishing at ice out, usually around April 1st. The summer months bring excellent lake trout, brown trout, steelhead and salmon to the area. The season for tackle-busting salmon usually starts around August 1st and continues through September. A usual catch of 20-30 pounders is common, with 40 pounders not uncommon. You'll have the best time and acquire some excellent fishing tales while enjoying your Lake Ontario fishing trip.
