Lake Cadillac - The town of Cadillac is directly on the lake, allowing residents and visitors a prime spot for outdoor and water recreation. The lake provides lifeguards, picnic areas, grills, a sandy beach, boat ramps, volleyball and disc golf. There are several canoe liveries in the immediate area offering services and rentals. If you prefer to stay dry, you can still enjoy the lake on the seven and a half mile bike path: run, walk, bike, or skate long the lake's edge. |

White Pine Trail State Park - This linear trail park is 92 miles long, and is Michigan's longest trail, reaching from the north end of Grand Rapids to Cadillac. Most of the trail is natural ballast and hard-packed gravel. In addition to running, walking, hiking and biking, the trail allows inline skating where possible, and snowmobiling and cross country skiing with four inches or more of snow on the ground.

Shrine of the Pines - A world famous tourist attraction, the Shrine of the Pines boasts the largest collection of rustic pine furniture displayed in a Northwood hunting lodge and is situated in an isolated wooded area on the banks of the Pere Marquette River. You'll have opportunities to see unique pine furniture including a table made from a 700 lb. stump, a rocking chair of roots that rocks 55 times with a single nudge, and a fireplace made of 70 tons of native stone. Stretch your legs and walk the paths to observe deer, turkey and squirrels in their habitat. Visit the craft shop before you leave for a special souvenir. Shrine of the Pines is open everyday May 15th-Oct 15th, located in Baldwin, MI, about an hour from Cadillac. |
