Colorado Bend State Park - Located just west of Lampasas in Bend, Texas, Colorado Bend State Park is a 5,328-acre park currently offering an abundance of outdoor activities including backpacking, hiking, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, birding, and wildlife viewing. There are nearly 16 miles of hiking trails and 14 miles of mountain bike trails. Other activities include guided tours of the Gorman Falls on the weekends. local2

Inks Lake State Park - Located south of Lampasas in Burnet, Texas, Inks Lake State Park is a 1200-acre park with recreational facilities on Inks Lake and adjacent to the Colorado River. Visitors can enjoy backpacking, hiking, and even golf. Inks Lake is a constant level lake featuring numerous water-related activities including lake swimming on an unsupervised beach, boating, water skiing, and fishing. Other activities include nature walks, geology hikes, lakeshore ecology, and Junior Ranger programs. Enjoy panoramic views of cedar and oak woodlands and pink granite outcroppings.
