| There is plenty to do at Bedford Creek Marina & Campground, such as swim on the beach and enjoy our 900 feet of frontage on Lake Ontario. Our lake front is all sand, with no rocks to step on as you walk out more than 100 yards to reach waist deep water. You can also enjoy our new playground, basketball court and volleyball court. There are motor boats, canoes, and kayaks to rent for water enthusiasts. If fishing is what you are after, this Lake Ontario camping resort has fishing for the whole family to enjoy! The eastern end of the lake has always been well-known for the abundant smallmouth bass and the tasty yellow perch that are caught here by the bucketful, and the lake is also home range to the large, hard fighting northern pike. Recently our fishing grounds have become a top destination for trophy walleye fisherman, and national tournaments have been held locally, enhancing the area's reputation as a top producer of arguably the best tasting freshwater fish to be caught. Fishing is one of the activities that makes Thousand Islands Region camping so memorable! |

| Across the road from the Sackets Harbor campground is a very nice 9-hole golf course and country club that will expand to 18 holes during the spring of 2006. Just a few miles away by road or water is the famous Sackets Harbor where the war of 1812 was begun and is re-enacted each year. A short distance away in the opposite direction is the picturesque Henderson Harbor. Both Sackets and Henderson are well known for their fine restaurants where you can enjoy a quiet dinner or an evening out on the town. The Pizza Shack sits right on the campground property, providing one of the area's top choices for delivery or pick-up. You'll find everything you need to enjoy a Thousand Islands Region camping trip.
Even though you will be staying in a country setting at the Sackets Harbor campground, a short ten-minute drive will take you to the shopping areas of Watertown, which includes the Salmon Run Mall. There are also numerous antique and craft shops, as well as museums throughout the area.
