Set on gleaming Mobile Bay, this is a fantastic place to enjoy a day of golfing, a Delta fishing or shrimping excursion, and a tour of the World War II USS ALABAMA Battleship. Celebrate Mardi Gras in the place where it was born -- right here! -- or take in one of the city's many festivals, boat shows, and home tours. This is also where you'll find the legendary Bellingrath Gardens and Home.

USS Alabama - Visit the Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama and see ships that have served during the more than seven decades from World War II to Desert Storm. You'll see the Submarine USS Drum, an A-12 Blackbird Spyplane, and the star of the show, the might battleship USS Alabama, a 680 foot ship that was launched in 1942. The memorial park also includes an air-conditioned aircraft pavilion, a flight simulator ride, and stirring historical videos. There are tanks on view, a Vietnam PBR River Patrol Boat, a Tuskegee Airmen's P-51D Mustang, and a B-52D "Calamity Jane." The park has a gift shop and a snack bar for take-home mementos and treats.
