| Ausable River Campsite invites you to camp in New York's largest mountain range. The campground is located on 130 acres along the Ausable River within the Adirondack Park. You'll be able to take in scenic vistas of mountain peaks, unspoiled forests, and the calming river from your campsite. Ausable River Campsite offers a quiet, wilderness atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy the Adirondack region, the quietest place to camp in New York.Camping cabins also avalable for rent. |

| Ausable River Campsite offers plenty of family activities, ranging from outdoor recreation to planned activities. Take full advantage of the direct access to the river for fishing, boating, or swimming. The Ausable River is known as the premier trout stream in the East. Bring your canoes, rafts, or kayaks and float the gentle waters as you take in the scenery of ancient sandstone cliffs and forests. Swimmers may choose the river or the swimming pool to escape the heat and soak in the waters. Ausable River Campsite also offers bicycle trails and acres of wilderness for nature walks, birding and wildlife viewing. Popular birds in the area include Swallows, Swamp Sparrows, Canadian Geese, and Peregrine Falcons. |
| Other activities at Ausable River Campsite includes outdoor games, volleyball courts, hayrides, horseshoes, and shuffleboard. There are also planned activities such as crafts, movies, and special events like ice cream socials, kickball, bingo, and bonfires on the beach. Ausable River Campsite also hosts several special themed weekends throughout the summer including July 4th celebrations with music in the pavilion and a parade, Pirates Weekend in mid-July featuring treasure hunts, and a Western Hoedown Weekend at the beginning of August with a professional square dance caller and a live country band. There is always something fun to do at Ausable River Campsite. |
