Play on the dunes of the world's largest deposit of snow white gypsum. White Sands National Monument is a thrill for people of all ages. An attractive visitor center describes the origin and formation of the dunes. The eight-mile loop drive has a number of very large parking areas. There are covered picnic tables and restrooms available.

100 Year Old Depot Home
|
| 100 year old depot home,a lifelong collection of toy trains resides here. From rare trains to the trains providing rides for the visitor, train buffs of all ages enjoy this exhibit. The depot is located at the north end of a park dotted with beautiful old trees. One of the oldest zoos in the country is located at the south end of the park. Small enough to walk comfortably, the zoo houses a number of animals and birds native to the Southwest. |
| The Space Center is comprised of two buildings, the museum and the adjacent OmniMax theatre inside the planetarium. Through the years, space pioneers from around the world have been inducted into the museum. Housed in a beautiful 5-story building, the exhibits are located both inside and outside the museum. |

| Kids Kingdom is a large playground built by volunteer community members. Constructed of redwood,castles and turrets the playground provides hours of free fun and fantasy. Kids Kingdom is located in one of the city's attractive parks. |
